Wenatchee Area Genealogical Society Membership Page
WAGS welcomes all who are interested in genealogy. You do not have to
have Wenatchee Area or North Central Washington ancestors to be a
member. Membership is open to all individuals.
The Society began as the Genealogical Society of North Central
Washington in the Spring of 1971 with 21 charter members. The name was
changed in the Spring of 1995 to The Wenatchee Area Genealogical
Society. The objects, purposes, and aims of the Society is to acquire
and share genealogical information, create, stimulate and maintain
interest in all matters pertaining to genealogical knowledge, to
preserve and perpetuate the records of ancestors, to compile, prepare,
preserve and index genealogical records of local interest and of
interest to the members of the Society, to aid individual members of
the Society in the compilation of their family genealogies and
histories, to hold regular meetings for the dissemination of
information to assist the members in their individual or collective
genealogical activities, and to publish such bulletins, papers, or
other lists, charts, etc. as deemed advisable by the Society.
Please consider a membership in WAGS. Many genealogists recommend joining a society where you live, for educational and support benefits, and another in the place where you search, for the exchange of research information.
