Wenatchee City Cemetery is located southwest of the intersection of N. Western Ave. and Maiden Lane in Wenatchee, Chelan County, WA comprising Sections 29 and 32, T23N, R20E. The Wenatchee Cemetery first operated as a private facility, with the earliest sales dating back to August 1895. Also beginning around 1895, remains from private burial grounds throughout the Wenatchee Valley were relocated to this new, permanent location. In 1916 Members of Dan McCook Post #105 and the Women’s Relief Corps #15, Department of Washington and Alaska erected a monument honoring Grand Army of the Republic veterans.
Affiliated with the Cemetery but located at 850 South Miller Avenue, is the Home Of Peace Mausoleum. It was constructed in 1916. The private Cemetery operated on its own until it could no longer keep pace with demand and the growth of the community. In 1929, the City of Wenatchee acquired and began operating the facility. In 1944 the property for the Veteran Memorial Section was purchased and developed. In 1948, the section was dedicated to all war veterans. The Veterans Memorial Monument was sponsored by the Veterans Organizations and Auxiliary Groups and unveiled on Memorial Day, 1953.
Located on the west side of the Cemetery is Babyland. This section was dedicated in 1947. Lullabyland is the newest baby section and is located at the North end of the Cemetery. The Hillcrest Mausoleum was dedicated in 1963. It contains both crypts and cremation niches. A cremation niche wall is located southwest of the Mausoleum. It was created in 2006. In-ground cremation plots are also available in both Section F and the Veterans Section. A new Cemetery office building was constructed in 2018.

This is the largest cemetery in the WAGS collection. The Wenatchee City Cemetery data listing includes data from two mausoleums. The ‘Cemetery’ column in the data table uses the abbreviations shown below for this cemetery table. All other cemeteries use their full commonly used names in the ‘Cemetery’ column. If you de-select these three cemeteries for the CEMETERY Column, the entire Master Cemetery Table becomes available and you can filter for any cemetery in the WAGS Collection.

HCM – Hillcrest Mausoleum

HPM – Home of Peace Mausoleum

WenCC – Wenatchee City Cemetery

The COLUMN SEARCH FILTER boxes above the data table are used for searching in any column of the data table. You can use any or all the boxes to limit your search. Use the ‘Clear Filters’ button to clear out any characters you have entered to start over. Use the bottom ‘Scroll Bar‘ to view more columns or the ‘More Details‘ button to display a window of the record’s data.
The table SEARCH box on the top right can also be used to search for data in ANY column. No need to use ‘wildcards’ in your search, the filters do that automatically, therefore don’t put too much info in any filter box; it could cause nothing to be found; start with just a few characters in the search boxes (like: jone for searching for Jones, Edward C. in the NAME column filter box), then add more characters or use other column filters to narrow your search.
You can PRINT, download in CSV or Excel format, or copy to the clipboard the displayed records. Use the ‘Show Entries’ pulldown to control how many rows of data to display on each page.  Always check the print preview and verify the number of pages you want to print.
