Funeral Home Records Index

The Jones & Jones Funeral Home records were donated to WAGS by J&J Director Eldon Hawkins. When Jones & Jones merged with Betts Funeral Service, there was no room for the records, and WAGS was thrilled to acquire them. Archiving with acid-free paper and folders and indexing the records was a meticulous seven-year project. There are over 27,000 records which include the years 1906-2001 for Jones & Jones of Wenatchee, Kuelbs or Braun Funeral Home of Cashmere, Waterville Funeral Home of Waterville and a few Wards Funeral Chapel of Leavenworth. Contents of the files vary; they may include just the funeral card with or without parents, dates, places, etc. Other records may include death certificates, obituaries, gift lists, military records, etc.

(Thanks to Mark Biehler of the Museum for advising us on handling archival materials. And thanks to these WAGS members for their many hours of work: Dick Banning, Bob Berkley, Joanne Calhoun, Edith Clarida, Jane Dunbar, Pat McLaren, Sharon Paine and Ida Wheeler.)

Jones and Jones Funeral Home was founded in 1903, and merged with Betts Funeral Service in 2007 to become Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home.

The COLUMN SEARCH FILTER boxes on the bottom of each column of the data table are used for searching in any column of the data table. You can use any or all the boxes to limit your search. To start over, use the ‘Clear Filters’ button to clear out any characters you have entered.
The table SEARCH box on the top right can also be used to search for data in ANY column. No need to use ‘wildcards’ in your search, the filters do that automatically, therefore don’t put too much infor-mation in any filter box; it could cause nothing to be found. Start with just a few characters in the search boxes (like: jone for searching for Jones, Edward C. in the NAME column filter box), then add more characters or use other column filters to narrow your search.
