Contributed by Maggie Rail, Jul 12, 1999, Fred Pflugrath used the records of Maggie Rail who had walked the cemetery in 1999. Fred Pflugrath walked the cemetery on October 2008 and finished November 2008.  It was last updated 4 Feb 2010.
Location: Go west on Hwy 2 from Coulee City. Turn left/north on Rd 37th NE and go about 2 blocks. The cemetery is on the left.  The cemetery has a fence around it that needs work. It is on about one acre of land one mile northeast of Coulee City, west of Hwy 2. There is very little upkeep. It is overgrown with weeds and sage brush. The cemetery has been in need of upkeep for a good 40 years. The remaining headstones are mostly the upright type and quite visible.
The cemetery is estimated to have started about 1889. Burials ceased because of the highwater table causing the gravestones to sink. However, the owner of the adjacent land said that burials ceased because of the rocky soil that made it difficult to dig the graves.
Some have obituaries in the WAGS Library.

The COLUMN SEARCH FILTER boxes above the data table are used for searching in any column of the data table. You can use any or all the boxes to limit your search. Use the ‘Clear Filters’ button to clear out any characters you have entered to start over. Use the bottom ‘Scroll Bar‘ to view more columns.
The table SEARCH box on the top right can also be used to search for data in ANY column. No need to use ‘wildcards’ in your search, the filters do that automatically, therefore don’t put too much info in any filter box; it could cause nothing to be found; start with just a few characters in the search boxes (like: jone for searching for Jones, Edward C. in the NAME column filter box), then add more characters or use other column filters to narrow your search.
You can PRINT, download in CSV or Excel format, or copy to the clipboard the displayed records. Use the ‘Show Entries’ pulldown to control how many rows of data to display on each page.  Always check the print preview and verify the number of pages you want to print.
